Great Hornbill

Buceros bicornis

The Great Hornbill is one of the most magnificent birds of the Asian rainforest. Its enormous yellow-and-black casque, used in resonating calls and possibly in mate selection, makes it instantly recognizable. During nesting, the female is sealed inside a tree cavity and fed entirely by her mate.
